In 2008, I got hold of a book called The Adobo Book which contained not only recipes for making adobo, but also stories surrounding these recipes as these are handed over from generation to generation.
This book became my inspiration to form this food blog. And through this blog I became more aware of how rich our culture is. Our food is as diverse as the 7,107 islands that comprise our country!
My family migrated to New Zealand also that same year. As we build our lives anew in Middle Earth, I look forward to those times when we visit the Philippines and savour once more the fruits of our land and our seas.
I hope that through this blog you will likewise find joy in our food, and share in my culinary adventure in the land of the Kiwi.
