In 2008, purchased The Adobo Book which contained recipes for making adobo which was as varied as their places of origin, and also anecdotes as these treasured recipes are handed over from generation to generation.

This book became my inspiration for this food blog. And through this blog I became more aware of how rich our culture is. Our food is as diverse as the 7,107 islands that comprise our country!

My family migrated to New Zealand also that same year. As we build our lives anew in Middle Earth, I look forward to those times when we visit the Philippines and savour once again the fruits of our land and our seas.

I hope that through this blog you will likewise find joy in our food, and share in my culinary adventure in the land of the Kiwi.
